EcoCyc is a bioinformatics database that describes the genome and the biochemical machinery of E. coli. The long-term goal of the project is to describe the molecular catalog of the E. coli cell, as well as the functions of each of its molecular parts, to facilitate a system-level understanding of E. coli.

A database specialising in Immunoglobulins (Ig), T cell receptors (TcR) and Major Histocompatibility Complex (MHC) molecules of all vertebrate species, created in 1989 by Marie-Paule Lefranc (Universiti Montpellier II, CNRS). IMGT, a European project since 1992, works in close collaboration with EBI. At present, IMGT includes two databases: IMGT/LIGM-DB, a comprehensive database of Ig and TcR from human and other vertebrates, with translation for fully annotated sequences, and IMGT/HLA-DB, a database of the human MHC referred to as HLA (Human Leucocyte Antigens). The IMGT server provides a common access to all Immunogenetics data.

MetaCyc is a meta-metabolic database because it contains pathways from a variety of different organisms. MetaCyc describes metabolic pathways, reactions, enzymes, and substrate compounds. The MetaCyc data were gathered from a variety of literature and on-line sources, and contain citations to the source of each pathway.
